Our Programs

Nail Technician

The Nail Technician Program requires 600 completed hours. While completing these required hours students will participate in all school assemblies, distance education online assignments, theory classes and hands on instruction.

Nail Technician Instructor

Students will prepare to provide instruction for the Nail Tech program students. Additionally, students will learn how to write and deliver a successful lesson plan, and will graduate from the program with the skills necessary for establishing and maintaining an effective classroom.

Nail Technician

The Nail Technician Program requires 600 completed hours. While completing these required hours students will participate in all school assemblies, distance education online assignments, theory classes and hands on instruction. This program consists of four zones, each with a specific focus. For the first zone of this program students will be in a classroom environment practicing hands-on skills through workshops on mannequins, student peers and recruited models. After completing Zone 1 of the program and passing the required test out, students will advance to the Student Nail Spa to continue with the hands-on experience while practicing on the general public. A student will cover and build upon the following topics throughout the program:

Nail Technician Instructor

Students will prepare to provide instruction for the Nail Tech program students. Additionally, students will learn how to write and deliver a successful lesson plan, and will graduate from the program with the skills necessary for establishing and maintaining an effective classroom. Topics also include knowledge of laws pertaining to the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology, safety and sanitation, and state board regulations. Upon completing the Nail Tech Instructor program, students will be prepared to take the Arizona State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology`s Instructor licensing exam.

  • Apply and describe learned concepts in theory, to successfully pass a written exam with 80% or better.

  • Apply and demonstrate learned concepts through effective lesson plan creation and implementation.

  • Demonstrate and explain understanding of teaching methods and management in a live teaching setting.

  • Apply and demonstrate lessons learned in theory and current nail tech work experience to help facilitate nail tech student learning in the classroom and live clinic setting with the direction of a licensed nail tech instructor.

  • Implement and demonstrate the demands of an effective classroom and clinic instruction.

  • Administer and exhibit learned concepts through effective lesson plan creation and implementation with various assessment methods.

  • Perform and establish an understanding of teaching methods and management in a live classroom and salon setting.

  • Apply and define learned concepts in theory, to successfully pass a written exam with 80% or better.

  • Student instructor successfully completes final theory and practical demonstration rubric, including lesson plan construction, and written examination with an 80% to be eligible for Arizona Board of Cosmetology certification and licensure.
